Bicycle-mounted police officersThe City contracts for Police services through the County of Riverside.  The La Quinta Police provide patrol officers, motorcycle officers, school resource officers, community service officers, investigators, gang task force members, narcotics task force, Special Enforcement Team, traffic reconstruction unit, a community policing office and citizen volunteers.

Fire station No. 93The City also contracts for fire services through the County of Riverside.  La Quinta Fire Departments serve as the City’s liaison with Riverside County in the areas of fire protection and medical response.
