The City sponsors a number of boards, commissions and committees which involve public participation and membership. The City Clerk’s Department is responsible for processing applications for each of those bodies. In addition, the City Clerk’s Department keeps track of each member’s appointment, length and expiration date of their term.
All members of boards, commissions and committees shall be bona fide residents and registered voters of the City of La Quinta. (Exception - The City Council may appoint nonresidents as professional members to the Historic Preservation Commission and/or a nonresident as the professional architecture member of the Architectural and Landscaping Review Committee).
