Imperial Irrigation District is giving customers the opportunity to save on energy costs by exchanging up to five incandescent light bulbs for five energy efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs at the upcoming Watt-Wise Wednesday Bulb Exchange event in August at the La Quinta Senior Center.

Customers who replace five 100-watt incandescent bulbs with five 25-watt CFL bulbs can potentially see a $90 a year savings on energy costs. The savings are based on using five bulbs a minimum of five hours a day, 365 days a year.
