The City of La Quinta contracts with Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services for residential and commercial trash collection. Additional services include bulky items pickup, residential recycling, business recycling, green waste, administering used motor oil and filter recycling events, managing buy-back recycling centers, providing backyard composting information, and administering household hazardous waste collection events. La Quinta residents may now drop off their household hazardous waste on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Palm Desert Recycling Center which is located at 41-800 Corporate Way. Items which may be recycled at that facility include: used oil and filters, batteries, florescent or mercury light tubes, and e-waste (old computers, monitors and printers).
New Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Palm Springs
The new facility to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste is now available to all Coachella Valley residents every non-holiday Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The facility is located at 1100 Vella Road, Palm Springs, just south of E.
