2.0% at 62 formula for new CalPERS members and an employee pre-tax contribution of 8% (2% at 60 formula for existing or "Classic" CalPERS members with an employee pre-tax contribution of 7%). The City does not participate in Social Security.

Health/dental/vision/life (up to $1,312 per month).
City employees may choose from five plans offered through either Blue Cross of California, Blue Shield or Kaiser Permanente, all of which are administered through CalPERS Health. Dental insurance is provided by CIGNA Dental. Vision Insurance is provided by VSP. Life Insurance is offered in the amounts of $20,000 Term (all employees) and $50,000 Term (Directors only).
Paid Holiday and Sick Days
12 sick days and 12 paid holidays annually.
80 hours of vacation per year (plus 8 hours for each additional year of service up to a maximum of 160 hours per year).
40 hours (specific management positions) or 80 hours (Directors) administrative leave per year.
